MINDEN, Louisiana, September 1,2014 — Labor Day seemed like the ideal opportunity for Northwest Louisiana Technical College, an entity that has provided technical education for nearly eighty years, to launch its new website. The site—www.nwltc.edu—offers many new features and enhancements including improved layout, a mobile-friendly version, and enhanced engagement with alumni and the business sector.
“We are very excited to have launched our new website”, shared Dr. Rick Bateman, Jr., Interim Director of Northwest LTC. “A few of our goals with the new website were to make it faster, easier to navigate, more visually appealing, and easier to manage and update. But most of all… we wanted to help those we serve get to know us better. If you review the site you’ll get a very good idea of who we are and what we do as a technical college.”
“The website is responsive and allows pages to be easily viewed and utilized on any mobile device without extensive scrolling or resizing”, stated Curtis Storms, Director of Information Technology Services. Laurie Morrow, Chief Academic Officer added, “Students use the NWLTC website as a hub to access everything from class schedules, to email and their course websites. This new site provides students with an easy to use and intuitive interface that feels familiar however they access it.”
Founded in 1936, Northwest Louisiana Technical College is a member of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. The main campus is located in Minden and other campuses operate in Mansfield, Many, Natchitoches, and Shreveport. NWLTC was recently recognized by the Aspen Institute as one of the nation’s top two-year colleges.
