MINDEN, Louisiana, September 24,2014 — Northwest Louisiana Technical College has announced the addition of a new Executive Leadership Team member. Curtis Storms fills the Director of Information Technology Services vacancy within the College and comes to Northwest LTC with a wealth of IT experience having spent almost 30 years in the United States Air Force.

When asked why he accepted the position at Northwest LTC, Mr. Storms replied “After 29 years serving our country in the United States Air Force and being a part of developing future leaders that inevitably go back into society and make our country stronger, I saw a huge opportunity here at Northwest LTC. Northwest’s mission statement is very similar to that of our US military services and that is to educate, train and develop students (future leaders).  Here at Northwest LTC we do that extremely well and I am excited to be part of this great team that prepares students so they may enter into the high-demand industries throughout our country.”

Northwest LTC Interim Director, Dr. Rick Bateman added, “We are thrilled with the hire of Curtis Storms as our new Director of Information Technology Services. Curtis is one of those rare IT professionals who is both a terrific technician and an exciting leader. We needed someone who would help launch us to another level of service to the northwest region and Curtis is an outstanding fit.”
