Bossier City, Louisiana, April 4,2014 — Northwest Louisiana Technical College (NWLTC) and Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) have signed a memorandum of understanding that will allow current faculty, staff and students of NWLTC to attend sporting and cultural events offered by BPCC at no charge. The agreement means that the NWLTC community can attend basketball, baseball, and softball games as well as plays, recitals, and concerts offered by BPCC’s Performing Arts Center.

 

“Our colleges share a mutual interest in promoting the holistic development of students and providing wellness and cultural opportunities to our respective employees,” said NWLTC Director Dr. Rick Bateman. BPCC Chancellor, Dr. Jim Henderson added, “This agreement benefits each institution, students and the educational interests of the Shreveport/Bossier community and the Northwest Louisiana region at large.” The agreement was signed April 3, 2014 and is effective immediately.

 

Founded in 1936, Northwest Louisiana Technical College is a member of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. The main campus is located in Minden and other campuses operate in Mansfield, Many, Natchitoches, and Shreveport.
